What we’re about

Welcome to Weavers of the Web, where we seek to create a space for the Lansing pagan community to learn from and connect with each other. Our aim is to provide the connection and social support that other mainstream faiths get from their churches, so that none need ever be alone.

Our regular event calendar includes discussion/teaching groups, Sabbat rituals, game and craft nights, psychic fairs, festivals and more. All levels and paths are welcome. Some events are donation-based, while others have a nominal fee. All funds go toward our operating expenses and our goal of purchasing property for a permanent Lansing pagan community temple.

During this time of social distancing, we are working on a variety of online options to keep our community connected and cared for. Our Wednesday night discussion groups are on Zoom with livestreaming on YouTube and recordings and handouts available to Patreon subscribers. We have informal social time before and after these events. Regular rituals are available in SecondLife on Sacred Cauldron, home of the Woolston-Steen Theological Seminary where our HPs Solinox Silverstar teaches. You can also join us on our Discord server for general community chat.

We are continually looking to improve our online offerings. If there's something you'd like to see, just let us know.

Join us online or in-person every Wednesday evening for discussions, rituals, meditations, and more! Bring your own experiences and knowledge to share, learn something new, and worship in sacred space.

Our Wednesday night groups start at 6:00pm for some social time. At 6:30, we go live on YouTube for our main event. Once we finish up with our formal activities and stop streaming, we usually keep the Zoom call going a bit for more social time as folks head out.
Can’t make it live? Secure recordings of our discussions are available to Patreon subscribers at the Bobbin level and above, and ritual recordings are available at the Balanced level and above.
Weaving the Web is our very own discussion series, designed not only to provide a basic introduction to our own WISE-ATC beliefs and practices but also to encourage sharing of information between traditions. Our cycle of 52 topics returns each year, so if you miss one, you can always catch it next year.
For ritual nights, if you are joining us from home be sure to set up your ritual space at home with candles, incense, and any other sacred tools or music.

Join us in caring for the Earth and her waterways by picking up the trash on the Lansing River Trail and the areas around our building!

We'll meet each month on the 1st at 11am unless it is actively raining or there is snow on the ground. UPDATES WILL NOT BE POSTED HERE so check the weather before heading out. Please bring comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing. We will have trash bags, hand sanitizer, and gloves available, but will also appreciate those who bring their own or extras to donate. You may also want to bring (or donate to the cause!) tongs or other trash grabbing tools, sharps containers, or anything else that might help with safe cleanup.

We will start from the church building and head south on Center Street, then west on Saginaw until we get to the trail. We'll walk for about 30 minutes together, picking up along the way, and then head back to the church building for disposal and cleanup. If we have enough people, we may split into two groups and cover the area out back between the church building and the river trail.

Children are welcome but must be under direct guardian supervision at all times.

ACCESSIBILITY NOTE: While our route will remain near pavement, part of our route on Center will not have an accessible sidewalk, so wheels may be in the street. Accessible parking is available. An accessible restroom is available inside the church building.

Join us for a magickal crafting evening! This gathering (now available both in-person and via Zoom!) is a sanctuary for all who find magic in the handmade. Whether you're a seasoned crafter or just beginning your journey, here's your chance to connect with like-minded souls. Bring along your knitting, crochet, or any portable craft project, and immerse yourself in an evening of creativity, conversation, and community. Skill level doesn't matter in this circle – we celebrate all forms of craft and creativity! So, gather your materials and join us for a night where every stitch, knot, and weave is infused with intention and joy. Open all evening and free of charge, come in for a spell and weave some magick with us at Crafty Vibes!

We will be at the scout campground, NOT in the main Fenner Center. Follow the signs from the main entrance!

4pm: Gates open, raffle tickets go on sale.

5pm: Circle cast.

7pm: Feast begins. Bring food for yourself as well as some to share if you like (see below for suggestions).

7:30pm (or when feasting is finished): teacup raffle drawing (donations welcome!)

Join us in-person or on Zoom as we celebrate the fullness of Spring with our Beltaine ritual. Learn the secrets of creation and fertility as we dance the maypole and the bonfire! Celebrate the blessed union, the blooming flowers, and growing new life! Bring your favorite outdoor games and entertainment, and enjoy the evening in the beautiful Fenner woods as we celebrating the blessings of Beltaine in the grassy fields around the bonfire pit. Please make sure to bring your own seating, blankets, warm clothing, and whatever else you may need. If you would like to make or renew handfasting or marriage vows, please make sure to contact Lord Solinox in advance. (Psst…this is the one time each year when you can get married at Weavers for free!!)
At 4pm, our gates will open and raffle tickets will go on sale. Circle will be cast at 5pm. Our main ritual will also be available by YouTube livestream and Patreon, as usual, so everybody can enjoy the ritual in whichever manner calls to them best. As a friendly reminder, all observers of WISE-tradition rituals must be participants within the circle, and all are welcome.
For the best online experience, we recommend setting up your own ritual space at home where you plan to be during the ritual. You may want candles, incense, God and Goddess representations, elemental tools, or anything else you have available for a working sacred space. This is optional, but will definitely help you get into the mood. Be sure to have something to eat and drink as well!
After ritual, we will break bread together. After ritual, we will break bread together. We will provide a basic meal. You may bring or order food for yourself and optionally food to share. Great ideas for Beltaine include eggs, early crops like asparagus, lamb dishes, root vegetables, dried fruits and nuts, and chocolate.
Attendance to our sabbat rituals is always free! Donations help to cover the cost of our space and materials as well as help grow our Temple fund. You can help out by bringing cash, donating via PayPal, or become a subscribing member through Patreon. Circle cast will be at 5:00pm, so please arrive early.
As is now our tradition, we will be having a teacup raffle with donated items. If you have any items at home that are ready to bring joy to a new home, please consider bringing them to donate to the raffle. Tickets will go on sale at the beginning of the day, and the drawing will be around 7:30pm.
The Fenner Center scout campground is accessed via a hard-to-see driveway on Mount Hope just east of the main entrance; we will have signs at the street. You can park just inside the gate and hike the gravel trail down to the site, or those with handicapped permits are welcome to drop off passengers near the outhouse before parking (we are no longer allowed to let anybody park in the field). Please arrive dressed and equipped appropriately for the weather; we cannot guarantee socially-distanced shelter in the event of rain. Fresh water and a pit toilet are available on site. The ground onsite is grass that is thick and mowed with some uneven terrain. Limited benches are available; we recommend bringing your own chairs if you expect to need seating.
SEVERE WEATHER PLANS: We will move this event to the store at Keys To Manifestation if a severe weather alert is issued or if winds exceed 20 mph. As long as it stays dry or is just raining, we will be at the campground. Please be careful, and plan for getting wet or being chilly this time of year!
