What we’re about
Forest therapy enhances wellness through gentle immersion in forests and other natural environments.
It derives from the Japanese practice "shinrin yoku," which translates to "forest bathing."
Studies have found a range of health benefits from forest therapy, including stress reduction, better
immune system functioning, enhanced creativity, and improved memory, mood, and attention.
Urban Edge Forest Therapy is Manhattan's first forest therapy provider with a guide certified (currently in practicum stage) by the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy. We offer public and private guided forest therapy walks in parks throughout Manhattan and the broader New York City area.
