What we’re about
TOG is a hackerspace based in Bluebell in Dublin. It is a shared space where members can have a place to be creative and work on their projects in an environment that is both inspiring and supportive of both new and old technologies. It is also a community of fellow minded hackers and makers with varied events for the public.
We have regular open events for visitors and these evenings are usually free to attend. They include lockpicking, coding, crafting, electronics, brewing, wikipedia editing and others. We hold a regular Open Social evening on about the 3rd Saturday of each month, when we just come in and hang out for the evening. We also collaborate on many external events like Repair Cafe and DublinMaker.
Come and visit. If you’ve never been in before, we’ll give you the grand tour of the space. Talk to members and visitors about projects or things you’d like to do. If you like what you see, ask about joining as a full member. Membership gives you 24/7 access to the space and all it's facilities, which includes 3D printers, laser cutter, workshop, classrooms with seating and projectors and a fully kitted out electronics lab. We also have eating and cooking facilities and off-street parking. There is also a great community spirit with ongoing community events.

Radio Experiment Day at Tog Hackerspace – Tuning In to the ISS
Tog Hackerspace, Kylemore Road, Dublin 12, D, IEAs part of National Space Week, Tog Hackerspace in Dublin will be hosting a Radio Experiment Day on Sunday, October 5th, 2025, from 11:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
This isn’t a class or formal demonstration — it’s a hands-on day of experimenting, tinkering, and learning together. The focus will be on trying out different ways to receive signals from the ARISS Slow Scan Television (SSTV) event taking place that weekend.
The Space Week SSTV Event, Series 29, will feature six images transmitted from the International Space Station (ISS) on 145.800 MHz (PD120 encoding). Two transmission windows are scheduled:- First Window: Oct 3–4, Start Fri 14:00 UTC, End Sat 10:00 UTC
- Second Window: Oct 4–6, Start Sat 11:00 UTC, End Mon (time TBD)
The same set of images will be sent in both windows, so there will be plenty of opportunities to catch them. On the day, we’ll also be calling in to the Dublin-area IRTS news broadcast on 2M, with two especially good ISS passes around 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.
Everyone is encouraged to bring along their own radios, antennas, and setups — the more variety, the better! Feel free to just drop in, have a chat, and join the fun.

Beginners Practical Electronics
Tog Hackerspace, Kylemore Road, Dublin 12, D, IEFancy making a start with electronics in 2025 or improving your skills?
Join us for a brand new beginners practical electronics lecture series from January 13th 2025. Every fortnight, we will watch 1 lecture in the space on Mondays at 7pm. Each lecture lasts about 50 minutes. We can discuss any of the content afterwards. These lectures are free to attend.
This course is ideal for anyone looking to get started in electronics or to improve their skills. We have lots of free parking right outside our door and lots of tea and coffee available.
