Join us for a Community Chess Tournament at Molly Pruitt Library! Register beginning April 1st to compete in one of four divisions: Child Beginner, Child Advanced, Teen, or Adult. A chess master with the United States Chess Federation (USCF) will be serving as the tournament director. A boxed lunch will be provided and trophies awarded! This event is made possible through generous support by the Rackspace Foundation. *If participants have a USCF ranking, then it must be below 1800 to play in this event; no USCF ratings above 1800. - Bharatanatyam Classical DanceGreat Northwest Library, San Antonio, TX
Bharatanatyam is among the most subtle and sophisticated dance forms in the world, embodying music and storytelling. Each of these professional dance performances, presented by the Kaveri Natya Yoga Center dance group, will be followed by an informal, interactive demonstration and Q&A. All performances are 1 hour except Central, which is 1 hour and 30 minutes. Events are ongoing through the month of May for Asian Pacific American History Month (APAHM).
