About us
A meeting of German-language speakers and learners in the SLC area open to all levels of proficiency and fluency. We will try to meet regularly, roughly every two weeks, in the Downtown, University, and Sugar House areas. I would like to keep the meetings informal, but with a focus on learning and improving everyone's speaking abilities and comfort level. Speaking, however, will not be required. If you want to show up and listen in, you're welcome, too. Fluent and native speakers are especially welcome to attend.

Outside chats at T.F. Brewing
Templin Family Brewing, 936 S 300 W, Salt Lake City, UT, USHallo!
I have been waiting to schedule an outdoor meeting at T. F. Brewing since March, but the weather has not cooperated. It looks like this coming Thursday will be sunny and comfortably warm, with high temperatures around 80 degrees. That should be perfekt!
T.F. has always been a popular spot for meetings. Some of the largest turnouts in the group history have happened there. It seems to be a generally pleasant spot for socializing.
For some background, Templin Family (T.F.) Brewery is a few blocks south of downtown SLC, on 300 West. They specialize in making German-style beer, many with ingredients imported from Germany. The interior is large and industrial with a Bierhalle feel and there is a large area with tables and seating behind the building.
More info on T.F., including their Biers and their non-alcoholic drink options, is available here: Templin Family Brewing. They don't have a kitchen, but there is a different food truck each day. As of today, the food truck schedule is not posted for the coming week. I'll check later and post an update here.
There is no real start or stop time, so come whenever you can and stay as long as you would like. We usually stick around kind of late at this location. Parking is a lot easier to find along 900 South.
This location does require you to be 21 to enter (sorry if that's an issue).
Please, feel free to contact me if you have any questions. Bis dann!
