What weāre about
Ready to take your road cycling skills and fitness to the next level, maybe train for a big ride? Want to meet people and learn new routes? Tired of riding alone and want the camaraderie of like-minded souls?
We might be just the right group for you! Some of us ride pretty fast, others...eh, not so much. Weāre happy to share the ways of the road, from climbing hills to riding safely in a group. Our rides might challenge you, (or not!) but weāll never drop you and leave you for dead. We look out for our own, itās the BoB way.
In the winter the ride offerings get a little sparse, but that changes with the weather, so please keep an eye on the calendar and subscribe to email notifications. If you donāt see the rides you want, message me and I'll work on it. Think you might want to share your skills and lead rides? Yay! Get in touch. Just be aware that a certain level of experience is required.
Here are the basics: RSVP so the Ride Leaders know that you are coming and CANCEL if you change your mind; we donāt like no-shows. Arrive at least 15 minutes before the ride starts. If the group is ready to roll on time, it will do just that. Have the right size spare tube and pump to take with you on the ride even if you don't know how to use them. Contact me if you have questions about equipment
Make sure to have the ride leaderās contact info with you. It could help if you have a problem on the road.
Finally, fully read the ride descriptions! We have a truth in advertising policy: what you see is just what youāll get. Call or email the Ride Leader before the ride if you have questions or concerns.
We are here to help make it fun!
Upcoming events (4+)
See all- Aufderheide Scenic Bikeway & Hot SpringsBelknap Hot Springs, McKenzie Bridge, OR
Explore Aufderheide (an out and back) on the way to the Tour de Fronds ride, the BRNW ride, the Tour de Outback (ALL of these great rides start on June 21), a day before or after riding McKenzie Pass (see Meetup event), or just do Aufderheide!
We'll start the ride in Rainbow, Oregon, which is 10 miles down the road from Belknap Hot Springs.
This is the full route. Unless we car shuttle for the full route, most people will probably turn around at about mile 30, making for a 60-mile ride, but since it's an out-and-back you can do as much or as little as you want.
Route description
Additional info and even More infoI'm planning to drive down from Portland (2.5 hour drive) the prior day or in the morning, and since I'll have my tent anyways, camp overnight in Belknap Hot Springs (which has actual hot springs) on June 18 & 19. You can also get a room in the lodge or a cabin to share there.

I'm in the T17 campsite area along the river. You could book Wednesday night too and ride McKenzie up from Belknap Hot Springs on Weds.
Book early - lots of campsites available for Weds night, Thurs not so many. If there are no tent sites available when you reserve then another possibility is to book a room or share a cabin. For additional camping the Paradise and McKenzie Bridge campgrounds are just a few miles down the road, the Olallie up the pass road, day passes are available for Belknap Hot Springs soaking pools.
Possible ride, hike or chill in the hot springs on Friday the 20th, I'm planning to depart the area by 1pm to reach Powers for the Tour de Fronds Ride.
Use the comments area to discuss plans, carpooling, etc.
- Tour de FrondsPowers County Park, Powers, OR
This outstanding ride takes place in Powers, Oregon and includes a variety of distance and elevation options.
Most people camp in Powers on Friday and/or Saturday night given the distance from Portland. Powers is about an hour inland from Bandon.Register here (spots still available as of 4/11/25, but it does sell out): https://www.tourdefronds.com/
Get your campsite here, sooner rather than later:
You need to register for 2 nights in order to make a reservation, each site has room for 2 tents. It comes out to about $56 total.

I'll be in site BF02, on the water. Can discuss possibly riding the Wild Rivers Coast Scenic Bikeway (at Port Orford, a 1.5 hour drive from Powers) on Sunday, but it makes for a really long drive back to Portland if you need to be in the office on Monday.
