About us
Alright fellow nerds, let's get together to share our love of awesome scifi, fantasy and adventure novels!
How it works:
We're a pretty casual and diverse group who gets together on the 3rd Tuesday of every month for a fun and interesting discussion on the month's book selection. Some of us get there a little early to grab a bite to eat and socialize a little beforehand - it's okay if you skip this and arrive on time!
It is not required to finish the book (but be prepared for spoilers if you don't!) All that we ask is for you join us for a good time and treat everyone with respect.
Please note that if you are an author, you are more than welcome to join us but we do ask that you refrain from self-promotion.
We don't have any sort of formal discussion questions or structure and instead, we let the conversation flow naturally. Our discussions typically last around an hour and a half and then we will use the last half hour to come up with suggestions for our next book selection poll.
We select our books 2 months in advance and after suggestions have been made, we use an online poll to vote on our selections.

Here is a short synopsis from Goodreads:
The Galactic Empire has prospered for twelve thousand years. Nobody suspects that the heart of the thriving Empire is rotting, until psychohistorian Hari Seldon uses his new science to foresee its terrible fate.
Exiled to the desolate planet Terminus, Seldon establishes a colony of the greatest minds in the Empire, a Foundation which holds the key to changing the fate of the galaxy.
However, the death throes of the Empire breed hostile new enemies, and the young Foundation's fate will be threatened first.
