What we’re about
This is a group for anyone interested in random activities that may be less frequently offered in other types of meetups. Some sample activities include getting bubble tea, photography, snowboarding, Pokemon Go, nature walks, biking, reading a book series, visiting art galleries, going to comedy clubs, etc. Events are organized around a broad range of activities, just depending on organizers' interests and imagination, and what members support through their participation. The goal is not to replace other groups but to fill times and offer diverse opportunities other groups haven't covered, and build shared social experiences.
Safety is always a priority for Random Fun meetups. If anyone notices behaviors or circumstances of concern that are not consistent with meetup policy please bring it to an organizers' attention. We want to create a fun and safe environment that makes everyone feel welcome at every event.

Attention femme-identifying friends and improv fans!
Ever wanted to dip your toes into the wild wacky and w-amazing world of improv in a safe and supportive space? Join us for a femme-prov jam on September 10th from 7-9pm at StartingBlock. All levels of experience welcomed and encouraged, including those who've never done improv before!
This event is free and is curated to provide femme-presenting individuals a safe and collaborative space to have some "yes, and" fun.
The jam will be led by Megan Detloff, Zoe Schirmer, and Shauna Jungdahl. Big thanks to Ben Rush with Amalgam improv for making this happen!
We are capping the jam at 18 people to make sure everyone has time to play. Depending on interest, we may schedule another femme-identifying jam in September. Looking past September, we want to keep these jams going forward!
We will gather on the southeast side of the American Family Insurance building that houses starting block. This is the entrance of the building that faces Vintage Brewing Company and has some modern art sculptures near by. StartingBlock’s address is 821 E Washington Ave 2nd floor, Madison, WI 53703.
FREE parking can be found behind on Main Street or in the parking lot across Blount Street from the High Noon Saloon in the paint store lot.
