About us
This is a group for anyone interested in random activities that may be less frequently offered in other types of meetups. Some sample activities include getting bubble tea, photography, snowboarding, Pokemon Go, nature walks, biking, reading a book series, visiting art galleries, going to comedy clubs, etc. Events are organized around a broad range of activities, just depending on organizers' interests and imagination, and what members support through their participation. The goal is not to replace other groups but to fill times and offer diverse opportunities other groups haven't covered, and build shared social experiences.
Safety is always a priority for Random Fun meetups. If anyone notices behaviors or circumstances of concern that are not consistent with meetup policy please bring it to an organizers' attention. We want to create a fun and safe environment that makes everyone feel welcome at every event.

Taking a week off from Schwoegler's and heading back to Oakstone Recreational in Cottage Grove, just off the interstate. The familiar Wisconsin Premier Trivia format we know from other locations. Note the 6:00 start, but please arrive a little early so we aren't scrambling to find each other.

VFW Post 1318, 2740 Ski Ln, Madison, WI, USJoin Team Random Facts for Think Fast Trivia, Madison's best trivia experience. 80 fast paced questions organized in 8 categories, multiple choice or fill in the blank, audio and visual rounds as well as verbal questions, and a final question where we can risk it all. VFW posts are not just for veterans. All are welcome, and "The V" is a typical bar & grill, though a bit cleaner, better lit, and better food than average. The usual crowd is no different than any other trivia night in Madison.

Diagnosed as hard of hearing at age three, Rhiannon Gurley learned Sign Language at age four in preparation for the possibility that her hearing might decrease over time.
Throughout her life, Rhiannon has learned to navigate and adapt to the “hearing world” while also educating others about the importance of accessible and inclusive communication. She encourages people to become more aware of how they communicate so they can better ensure everyone has an opportunity to understand and participate.
Her work ranges from creating sound-conscious events and experiences, to providing training in workplaces and schools, advocating for clearer communication with elders, and helping communities become more aware of the diverse ways people communicate and experience the world.
Through Vibrant Arts, Rhiannon turns her lived experience into education, advocacy, and meaningful community connection.
