Hiking with Friends is a group from Walnut Creek Friends Church and others who enjoy hiking the hills in Contra Costa County and other Bay Area locations. This group is for anyone who enjoys making new friends and exploring the great outdoors while developing stronger relationships with Jesus, nature, and one another.

Alhambra Creek Loop
Briones - Alhambra Creek Staging Area, 2537 Reliez Valley Road, Martinez, CA, USAs the hills start turning green here’s a new hike for us from the Alhambra Creek staging area in Briones regional Park at 2537 Releiz Valley Rd. Martinez. The parking area is at the end of the road. 
This trek is 5 miles long with 1,040 feet elevation gain and includes lots of hills, trees, and views to enjoy.
There will also be some mud. So be prepared with extra shoes and a plastic bag in your car for the journey home. Plan to bring water, sturdy shoes, layers to wear, a snack to eat, and of course, an attitude for making friends.
Dogs are allowed with some leash requirements posted along the way.

Let’s meetup at the trailhead at 9:00 am, or meet me at the Walnut Creek Friends Church back parking lot for carpooling leaving at 8:15 am. The address is 1950 First Ave. in Walnut Creek.
