So, who is ready to start our spring off and play some Bingo once again and possibly win a nice size jackpot? 🤑💰 We've had numerous winners the last few times we've played. Hopefully, that winning trend carries on! As the saying goes, you can't win if you don't play! Each of the games has a payout of $190 and a couple of progressive jackpots of $1,000. After we are done eating, we are going to play a fun card game that Judy is going to teach everyone. 😊 Regular bingo does not start until 6:30, so we thought time would be well spent playing this fun game. It's very easy to learn and promises to be fun for everyone. One thing that is required is for each person to bring $4.00 (in 1 dollar bills, please). At the end of the game, there will be one winner who will win the $44 jackpot!!! 🤑🤑 Consider it a lead up win to all the bingo wins we will have. 😉 Now, doesn't that sound like something worth playing for????? So, are you ready to test the elements of Mother Nature and want to go on a leisurely/casual walk🚶🏻‍♀️through Silverwood Park? This is going to be at a CASUAL pace. We want to get out and enjoy the beauty of nature that the park has to offer. We will not be in a hurry at all.

Terri is hosting this event and says this is a beautiful park and will be enjoyed by everyone. It’s a paved trail with wonderful views of Silver Lake. This is an easy level hike at about 1 mile around the park, and we can lap it twice, no problem. PLUS, there is a neat island to check out that brings you up close and personal to the water. This park is really a gem. Come join us, and you’ll see why. It’s home to owls🦉,deer 🦌, and many different species of birds 🦅🐦‍⬛ Let’s enjoy a nice morning walk🚶‍♀️to jumpstart our Saturday morning.

We will spend about 90 minutes or so walking the trails and enjoying the beautiful scenery, walking along Silver Lake, amongst other places. Afterwards let’s head down the road for lunch/drinks at Steele and Hops in St. Anthony.🍔🥤Terri has been there before and said the food is delicious. It's a place our group has never been before, and we're always up for trying new places. 😉 Terri will need to make reservations, so please no dropping out last minute.

Let’s meet no later than 9:50 am at the parking lot at the Event Center so we can hit the trails at 10:00am. Parking is FREE for everyone!! 😊

Go straight through the entrance of the park, go past a couple small parking lots, and the Event Center parking lot will be at the end. PLEASE be on time because we will be heading out promptly at 10:00. If you arrive a few minutes late, please walk fast, and hopefully, you will catch up with us.

**Be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes and clothes. Feel free to bring a water bottle if desired.

So, who is ready for an adventure of touring the only remaining restored Gangster Era site in St. Paul? Who would like to tour the extensive caves carved into the hillside in long abandoned mining ventures from the 1800's. Later, was a mushroom farm, and then developed as a Restaurant Casino and Gangster's Hotspot during the 1930's prohibition era.

Tickets to this tour are only $15 (or just $11 for seniors over 65) and are 45-60 minutes in length. We plan on attending the 2:00 pm tour.

Before the tour, we want to meet for lunch at Cossettas at 12:15 pm. Cossettas is a fine Italian restaurant with great food. 😋 It is located at 211 7th St. W, in St. Paul. Only 1.3 miles from the Wabasha Caves. (But on the other side of the Mississippi River). Please be on time so we can order promptly by 12:30pm. We will not wait for any late comers.

Below is the website you must go on to purchase your ticket. Once on the website, click on "Tours," and then click on "Book Tickets" under the Public Guided Tours. Then move the calendar date to Sat. June 7th and choose the 2:00 pm time slot. BE SURE YOU CHOOSE THE 2:00 TIMESLOT!! Then, purchase your adult ($15) or senior ticket.

If there is interest afterward, we could maybe go for a walk 🚶‍♀️around one of the nearby lakes and/or trails. We are in St. Paul afterall, and there are many nice parks and lakes nearby. 🏞🌞

Ahoy, there, our fellow members. 🚢 We are planning a cruise to start off our summer. This cruise will be on Wednesday, June 11th, and it goes from 6:15 - 8:15pm.

We are going to go out of Hudson and sail down the beautiful St. Croix River for a nice 2 hour cruise. There will be a buffet of chicken and pork carnitas, flour and corn tortillas, spanish rice and beans, and chips and salsa included with your ticket.

They have 2-for-1 margaritas at the bar plus other drinks. (you are only able to use CASH at the bar).

We are looking to meet up at The Smilin' Moose Lodge Bar and Grill located at 601 2nd St. in Hudson between 4:30 and 4:45 pm. to get everyone together and have a drink or two before we board the ship. It is only a 3 block walk from the bar to the port. They have a great happy hour, incl. margaritas.🍹😀

***If you are not able to meet us at the bar, no problem. Just let us know, and we will meet you at the port by 5:45 to board the ship. They say boarding starts at 5:30, but 5:45 is still plenty of time. (I've done this cruise before, and it can be boring just sitting on the boat.) Ship leaves at 6:15 pm.

There is currently a 38% off Groupon for this cruise, normal cost being $47. They then have a special promo that if you purchase your ticket by tomorrow, the final ticket cost will be $21.75. Now, isn't that a deal worth buying?? Don't delay!! Get your ticket before tomorrow so you get the full discount.

BUT, that is just the Groupon price, and it doesn't include the taxes and port fees, which is $11.17. So, the overall cost for this fun 2 hour sailing adventure will be $32.92. But each person will have to go online and purchase their own ticket. Just don't wait too long, or the ship may be full.

***Below is all the instructions and the two websites you need to go on. It's easy as long as you follow my instructions below.

First, go into www.groupon.com and put in the search space - St. Croix River Cruises. You should see an option for a Two-Hour Fajita and 2-for-1 Margarita Cruise for 1. Buy your ticket. It should cost $21.75 with the promo code "SAVEMORE". BE SURE TO ENTER THE CODE WHEN YOU PURCHASE THE TICKET TO GET THE REDUCED PRICE.

After you go onto Groupon and get your ticket, bring up the voucher for that ticket and copy down the Redemption code. This is a 12-digit number/letter code on the upper left side of the page that you will need to have for the next step.

Once you have your redemption code, then you need to go onto the website:

Click on BOOK NOW.
Then click on Dinner Cruises, then click on Fajita & Margarita Cruise.
Then go to the right and click on the date, June 11. Then click below the calendar on the 6:15 PM box for the Fajita & Margarita Cruise. (It does say $47, but ignore that). Once you put in your redemption code, the deduction will come off.

So, on the next screen, plan your experience. Put "1 Adult", and go further down the page, and it'll ask if you have a Promo Code. Here, you will put in your redemption code from your Groupon Voucher (ticket). You will see it immediately does a reduction in the price.

THEN, it asks if you are joining another party that made a separate reservation. In that space, put the name - Judy Ries, since she set this all up and the reservation is under her name. That way, we can all sit together on the ship.

Then finish filling up the required questions and then click on "Add to Cart." After you do that, then you will enter your credit card information to pay the port taxes and fees of $11.17. After that, you are finished and should get a confirmation email. GOOD JOB! 😊
