What we’re about
This group is designed to bring people of all ages and abilities together to have adventures, outdoors and indoors. Our event organizers post meetups to enjoy what Oklahoma and surrounding states have to offer. Events will range from outdoor adventures including hiking, camping, and biking and indoor adventures such as dinners and museums, as well as other unique events as they come up.
Note: By RSVP'ing to meetups, you acknowledge that event hosts are volunteers, you are responsible for yourself and your actions, and the group will not be held liable for potential injuries. I want to make sure this group is a fun and safe environment for everyone but there are inherent risks associated with outdoor activities. Happy adventuring!

See all- Hike at Blue River WMA (near Tishomingo)Needs location
We meet at this location (It is a small campground)
https://maps.app.goo.gl/59DzYXLGLHcTdnZr5
(We do NOT meet at a parking lot called "Desperado Springs")
Please join us for an easy 5-mile hike in the Blue River Public Fishing & Hunting area. This is an easy hike with pretty river views, mostly shaded, and should take about 2.5 hours. If there is interest, we can swim in the river at the end of the hike and get a dinner at Tishomingo (possibly also do an afternoon hike at Tishomingo Wildlife Refuge).
The route largely follows this route but we start at a different spot and I know a different path for the way back so that we'll make a loop.
To enter the area legally, you need to get a fishing/hunting license or a conservation permit (click on "enroll now."). I visit this area often and I have never seen any rangers... (just saying). In any case, enter at your own risk, legal or otherwise. The cheapest option is $11 (1-day fishing license) and annual license is $31, which lets you legally enter nearly all OK wildlife management areas.
