Acoustic Music Jam

This long-running, amplified, weekly music jam takes place in a beautiful performance space. You do NOT need to sign up for the Meetup. Typically, from 12 to 20 people attend, with a core group of welcoming experienced musicians.

The jam is open to most instruments, including acoustic and electric, and levels of musicianship, with a focus on easy-to-intermediate classic and modern rock and blues -- but also folk, funk, country and whatever else we want to play. Typically, we have drums and bass. Recent jams have included songs by Peter Gabriel, Bob Dylan, The Rolling Stones, Weezer, Ed Sheeran, and The Cars. The goal is to have fun and play well as an ensemble!

Each week, jammers put songs on a whiteboard, and we project the music on the wall. This allows us to play a broad range of tunes and styles. We share the vocals (house mics are provided) and soloing is encouraged!

Let's meet and play some music! All types of acoustic musicians including guitar, uke, bass, flute, and keyboards. Please bring an instrument if you attend. Due to limited space, we're limiting this to people that play some type of acoustic instrument.

We'll be in Nancy's music room. Come in through the Music Room door - this is the door facing the driveway. Wear a mask when you are in the kitchen and bathroom.

NOTE: If you are sick or have cold symptoms, please cancel and do not come to this event.

If you cancel, please do so before 10am on the day of the event so that others are able to attend. Due to COVID, we are limiting it to 9 people and ask that people do not bring guests.
